BAD IDEA part 2 : March 23, 2008
after breaking several soldered connections on the BAD IDEA, it became apparent that a taped together piece of shit would not hold together long enough to actually complete a tattoo. bummer.
So a total redesign was in order...

2 angled brackets, machine screws, football inflation nib, and aluminum air hose nozzle make up the new machine. Noticeably better performance - the inflation nib really guides the needle well, cushion under the motor reduced vibration dramatically and using screws to keep it all together really lowered the "scary as fuck" aspect. Planning to develop a more secure motor mounting set up, as well as some sort of housing to hide the wiring and such.
think i'll have to find a pig's foot
