BAD IDEA part 3 : March 30, 2008

First test of the BAD IDEA has proved to be successful. The machine held up welll, though the process was notwithout it's moments. Several times the motor threw the needle shaft and the nib vibrated itself loose once. All to be expected on a first run. The linework looks aight - it gets loose here and there. Mostly due to the less than comfortable hand posture needed to hold/balance the machine.
The above took about 20 minutes to produce. The skull was drawn on with a ped ballpoint pen which wiped away clean with a little water. I used some cheapo India Ink for my pigment.
All-in-all I'm really happy with how it performed - smooth and solid.
